Calvert Green Expo

There will be speakers, displays, food & drink, demonstrations, live music and various companies and agencies present dedicated to creating a greener environment in Calvert County. They will show you how, why, and where we can all help. Not only to turn your environment into a green environment, the vendors can help you save money and energy in the future.

Looking for kid's activities at the Green Expo? Stop in the Annmarie artLAB (located in the Murray Arts Building), where guests of all ages are invited to create a disco photo frame to take home! Create and decorate your own spectacularly flashy frame made from 100% recycled materials, including old CDs, cereal boxes, paint, and other doo dads! It's the hip way to display photos of your loved ones! While in the artLAB, meet Princess Pop Top - and check out the giant igloo constructed of plastic trash collected from every second grader in Calvert County! Before you leave the Arts Building, stop at the front desk to pick up a tree identification guide and a Glenn Dale Azalea Coloring Book. Take a walk in the sculpture garden and identify trees and learn more about the beautiful azalea collection!

Annmarie Gardens will Premiere artLAB at the 2012 Calvert Green Expo: artLAB Grand Opening in the Arts Building @ Annmarie.

Everyone is invited to stop in the artLAB, Annmarie's new created upcycling center where visitors of all ages will learn how to turn trash into treasures! The artLAB is a recycling program that works with local businesses and individuals to divert clean usable waste materials for creative reuse and artistic learning. In the artLAB, these materials become inventive supplies for interactive learning, while spreading the important environmental message of reduce, reuse, and recycle to our community. All ages are welcome!

Mission Statement

The Calvert County Citizens Green Team works to promote sustainable lifestyles by identifying and sharing innovative green technologies hosting a Calvert County Green Expo and encouraging environmental stewardship among county citizens in their workplace, homes, and communities.
